Crime Scene Investigator

· Job Description
-Responsible for the documentation of the scene(s) and the collection or physical evidence
-They need to have an expertise in photography, sketching, processing for latent and patent evidence. Those include the following:
o Fingerprints
o Footwear impressions
o Trace
o Hair and fibers
o Biological fluid (including DNA potential and blood spatter pattern analysis
-Identify objects, actions, and events
-Communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates
-Make decisions and solve problems.
-Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others.
-Work with the public
· Physical Demands

-Stand, walk, or run when investigating cases.
-Sit when doing paper or computer work.
-Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
-Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl

· Hours and Salaries
-40 hours a week, but usually works overtime.
-Works nights, weekends, and holidays
-Travel a lot especially the federal agents
